(On a bed of comfort) Can animals comfort us? Do tall people have greater sorrow than short people? Is there a valley of tears? What is more difficult: arguing or crying? Are there real and fake tears? Is crying healthy? Is there a difference between pain and sadness? Do girls cry more than boys, or have boys learnt to hide their tears better? Does grief have its own agenda? Are sadness and happiness like brother and sister? Are there people anywhere in the world who don't grieve? When you sleep, do your tears sleep too? Can you bury grief? Can grief bury you? Why is it hard to say goodbye? "Ein Bettchen Trost" is a poetic installation about grief, farewell and consolation. An intimate walk past questions, scenes and rituals. But also an invitation to find a little comfort in a text that Hanneke Paauwe has written especially for you. There are certain time slots during which you can visit the exhibition. The tour itself lasts around 40 minutes.
