Die Wanderung der Tiere (The migration of the animals) is the story of those who are forced to leave their homeland and the path they have to take to find a new home. It is a difficult, sometimes dangerous journey, which is associated with hardship, but also with great hope. We tell this story with the help of puppet theatre, which allows us to practice poetry and magic in dealing with the necessary and delicate subject of contemporary migration. The migration of animals is freely inspired by the illustrated work Migrantes by the Peruvian illustrator Issa Watanabe, a silent book with extraordinary images that tells us a story that is repeated every day and in every part of the world. The dangers and uncertainties of those who are forced to take on the hardships of the journey in the hope of a better life. A tale without euphemisms that seeks to promote compassion and solidarity with those who come from far away with the utmost tenderness.
