position on sustainability

At Theatre Mummpitz, we are committed to sustainability and resource management. Sustainability is a fixed item on the agenda of our weekly organisational meetings, and we attend training courses such as the Corporate Sustainability Navigator Assessment. Our employees are avid cyclists – long journeys, including those for the Panoptikum programme, are mostly made by train. Conscious planning of transport and material procurement is important to us. We strive to reduce energy consumption and use regional products and vegetarian options for catering. We are delighted when our guests and audience members focus on sustainable mobility and come to us by bicycle or public transport. The BFDK Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste (Federal Association of Independent Performing Arts) is an exemplary driving force for ecological sustainability and has developed a toolkit that we highly recommend.
