Unfortunately, theatre for young audiences often plays a secondary role, both in educational institutions and in the arts pages. To emphasise the importance and impact of expert theatre criticism, we offer a writing workshop for pupils at the Labenwolf Gymnasium in Nuremberg. Together with Manfred JahnkeFreelance theatre scholar, critic and dramaturge with teaching assignments at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart and the Institute for Theatre Studies at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, he will attend various performances during the festival.

Together, reviews of the performances seen are written and discussed. A selection of the reviews are published on the homepage in the festival blog and on Curt online. In cooperation with our partner, the Parabol Media Centre, podcasts are also produced from the reviews and broadcast on Radio Funkenflug. In this way, we aim to show participants the diversity of forms, themes and aesthetics of theatre and its reception by young audiences, thereby helping to strengthen its role.
